- other girls: to slow dance under the stars alone with that special guy all decked out in their prom dress, with their hair done up and they look perfect. to have that perfect kiss with fire works and lights and sounds. to feel sparks fly and her heart race. to have him say 'i love you.' or 'you look beautiful tonight'. to have that feeling that tonight is perfect because a night like that with that one guy is everything.
- me: to sit on my basement couch with him both of us wearing roots sweats. my hair is up in a simple messy bun. neither of us need to look fancy. we just sit and enjoy our time together. i don't expect him to say something deep and poetic or to do something insanely romantic. i just want a guy who would sit with me all day and enjoy every minute and a guy who thinks i'm beautiful without make up or a pretty dress, just plain old me. the whole dance under the stars seems ridiculous.
